Campaigns

Polygender Scotland has been in existence for 2 years now. During that period we have on a number of occasions taken part in campaigns, consultations and other activities to promote trans and gender variant equality. As well as that we currently participate in the Scottish Transgender Alliance steering group and the ACPOS (Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland) LGBT reference group.

However, despite this involvement we haven't at any time really been focussed on this due in part to our lack of resources (I only have 2 hands!) Now though we are in a position to become more active.

For those who are interested getting involved with campaigning for trans and gender variant equality, we'll be holding another meeting each month informally to discuss what campaigns we wish to pursue, how we wish to pursue them and what we're actually aiming at. It's likely that meetings won't be held as regularly as our main meetings, so if you're interested in coming along, or you have an idea for a campaign email me on committee@androgyny.org.uk. We'll also post the dates in the meetings and events section.
